Since his graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy, John McCain has been a symbol of American patriotism and values. During his 22-years of service in the Navy, he earned multiple awards, including a Purple Heart and a Silver Star. For John McCain, however, it was not enough – he is running for President so he can continue to serve and protect American citizens.
As President, McCain will institute the Lexington Project, a plan for breaking America’s dependence on foreign energy. This project will focus on expanding domestic oil and natural gas production by taking advantage of the large reserves of these resources that lie under American soil. It will invest in clean and affordable alternative energy sources for the time when those reserves run out. This includes nuclear, solar, wind and hydroelectric energy. McCain believes that “A sound energy strategy must include a solid environmental foundation.”
John McCain believes that in order to consider the Iraq War a success, America must support the democratic Iraqi government until it is completely self-sufficient. “The best way to secure long-term peace and security is to establish a stable, prosperous, and democratic state in Iraq.” To achieve this, McCain plans to stay in Iraq until terrorism is no longer a threat to Iraqi freedom and security. He also wants to get the Iraqi government involved in its country’s economy, and to begin putting more pressure on countries such as Syria and Iran – countries that pose a threat to Iraqi prosperity. John McCain is clearly the best choice for America.

I believe that John McCain and Sarah Palin are the right choice for America's next presidency. I believe this because America needs a strong leader and I do not think that Barack Obama has what it takes to be America's next president. I think that John McCain is right that we should finish what we started in Iraq and not let all that we have accomplished go to waste. If we draw out of Iraq right now, all of the lives we have lost will have been for absolutely nothing. If Obama became president, I think that my life would change because Obama would try to change everything about America but change is not always good in my eyes. I believe that Sarah Palin is very upbeat and seems more energetic while Biden seems very boring. This is why I think McCain should win the presidency.
John McCain and Sarah Palin would be great for the next presidency, in my opinion. I think that since John McCain served 22 years in the Navy, he truly knows the needs of the United States. He must really care about the U.S because even after being severely injured in battle, he never stopped doing everything he could to help our country. Running for president showed his passion for the United States, and everyone who lives here. McCain is trying to save our environment, and lower prices of natural resources such as gas. He is doing this by using nuclear, solar, wind and hydroelectric energy for homes, and digging for oil in actual U.S soil, so we do not have to borrow from other countries. John McCain and Sarah Palin are obviously the best for our country, and the U.S will make a lot of progress if they are in the presidency.
I support John McCain for President because he has much more experience in every area of life than Obama. He will be able to handle the pressures and challenges of the office with a calm, steady hand, that will help me sleep a bit better at night. People mock his age, but I see that as an asset. Simply being on this planet longer, having raised kids, having served in the Senate and military for decades, having been tortured as a prisoner of war,...these things have tested and proved him and have prepared him for the presidency far more than anything Obama has experienced heretofore. Obama is an unknown quantity. The oval office is no place for a novice, and it is certainly no place for on the job training.
John McCain will lead this country in a more realistic way than Barack Obama. His ideas about energy will support this great country now and for the future. In almost a year I will be driving and i need gas prices to be lowered and John McCain will do that. Also I love his policy on national security, having it one of his highest values makes me feel safe, and his military exsperience will guide us through the war on terror. His views on spending our tax money wisely and not having any pork barrel spending in Congress makes me happy to know that as president he will make sure that my tax money is not wasted. All of those points show how John McCain will have a realistic view on how to lead this country for a greater, brighter future.
John McCain is an established Arizona senator that is the Republican candidate for the upcoming election. He has been in politics far longer than Barack Obama, and while McCain's age is often considered a detriment to his health and ability to run the country, it is also a valuable indicator of his experience. Obama has continually reiterated the fact that he will "Change" America. Change what, and change it how? When asked during a debate about his stance on several important subjects such as the economy, abortion, and Christianity in America, Obama answered that he didn't feel that he knew enough about the subjects to provide an educated answer. Another topic of interest is that Obama launched his career in the home of an unrepentant terrorist, who he still lives in the same neighborhood with and calls a "friend." Obama also refuses to put his hand over his heart when performing the pledge. Do we really want a president who befriends terrorists and refuses to show allegiance to America? In these trying economic times, neither candidate will be able to fix our country's problems completely. But it is better to only change what needs to be changed, rather than to change for the sake of change. McCain is a true American, who fought for his country long before his political career began. He has a real, straight-forward plan for our country and is strongly rooted in what he believes in. He presents his stances on topics without question and does not waver for the sake of universal approval. That's why McCain/Palin 2008 is the best presidential choice for our country.
I think John McCain is the right choice for president. He has served in the army for America. He wants to make America independent of foreign energy. I think it would be good because we would be importing less. We would not be relying on foreign countries for our energy so that would help our country spend less money. He would try to find energy that would affect our environment less. He would make sure the war in Iraq is over before he pulls our troops out. I think that is best because if he tried to pull them out as soon as he could I think their government would fail and other people could take over making Iraq worse. Barack Obama would take the troops out to quickly letting the Iraqi government fail and making all the lives loss pointless. I also think Obama has less experience than John McCain has. That is why John McCain is the best choice for president because he would do what is right for America.
